Next Intensive course will be in 2026
AquaKids Beginners Parent and Child
The Beginners class is for Parent and child. We use the Shaw Method of Swimming which is all about alignment in water and learning to swim stress free.
These classes not only teach your child valuable water skills and how to swim, but also teaches the parent how much support to give, as and when necessary, so that you can practice at your leisure. We don’t use any form of floatation aids, as this gives a false sense of the water, inhibits movement and can put children off balance and out of alignment.
This course is great for building confidence in children who are afraid or lacking confidence and for those who are confident and are almost swimming independently but just need that little bit extra guidance.
Being in the water every day makes a massive difference to once a week. Anything that you are learning to do from reading to riding a bike or swimming, if practiced every day is learnt a lot faster and conquered quicker.
Up to 10 children in a class.
Age 3-7 yrs (I do take children slightly older in this class)
